July 12th at {FM} Headquarters we will be getting together to watch UFC 100!  Im sure we will play some Undisputed as well but no tourney setup yet unless you guys want to do one.  Bring money for food, or bring your own food. We’ll figure it out as it gets closer. See u there.

Here is the setup for the Lightweight Tournament

Division 1                           Division 2

We will do a round robin tournament for the 1st round to determine the top 2 from each division.  Then it will be a traditional 4man bracket for the semi-final and finals. With the top guy from each division playing the second place guy from the other division in the Semi’s.  Tie breaker will be head to head wins.

This sunday you can meet up at Debus’ house starting at 1:30pm.  We will be doing a BBQ. So bring money, or u can watch everyone enjoy their hamburgers and hot dogs.

We will have 4 tv’s and 4 360’s going with UFC Undisputed.  So if you get there around 1:30 you can practice a little before we do the tournaments, if you haven’t played.

So everyone knows about the Light Heavyweight Tournament we are doing on the 24th.  After playing the demo over the last week or so I noticed that these fights don’t last very long.  So Debus and I have decided to do a second tournament (or should I say first tournament).  We will be doing a Lightweight Tournament before the Light Heavyweight one.  This way everyone can practice a bit before the big one.  The LHT , we shall call it, will still be a random character but for the Lightweight we are going to tell you your fighter right now!  Debus made a program to randomize the fighters with their respective human operator and here is the list:

Update #2: So the list above is the FINAL list.  We know all the people that are showing up (as far as I know) so this should be your fighter.  Practice if u can!

Oh Yeah!  April 23rd the Demo for UFC Unleashed will hit Xbox Live!  So get it and practice up for the Tournament May 24th.

Update: Last night Igot home from Seattle and I checked online for info on the game.  I found that there was a way to download the demo and put it on cd and it would work on the Xbox.  So last night Brandon and I played a couple matches as Chuck Lidell and Shogun Rua.  I have to say….This game ROCKS!  We probably played 7-8 matches with whoever was playing as Lidell winning all but 1 (I submitted Lidell as Rua with an Armbar, pretty cool).  There is also a Tutorial mode that shows you all or most of the moves in the game.  This game is pretty deep when it comes to that.  The clinch game and ground game will take a while to learn.  But the striking is easy enough to pick up and use to still win.  I think we are going to have an Awesome tournament in about a month. Get to practicing, one more day til it hits Live.

As some of you know UFC Undisputed 2009 releases for the Xbox 360 on May 19th.  Also, UFC 98 is on May 23rd.  So we are planning a {FM} Fight Night at FMHQ for the following Sunday, the 24th of May.

We will be having a tournament for the game after we watch UFC 98.  The tournament will be setup like the old {FM} Fight Nights when we played the boxing game Fight Night Round 3.

The idea so far will be to pick a weight class We will use the Light Heavyweight weight class  and randomly draw the fighter you will be for the tournament.  That way it keeps it fair for everyone who hasn’t played the game.
